The article reports on plans by South Korea to stockpile steel scrap in order to address fluctuations in supply and costs. The move is aimed at aiding local companies, including POSCO. According to Kim Min, director of the Ministry of Economy's Metals & Chemicals division, approximately 150,000 tons of steel scrap would initially be stored by the government and would use KRW50 billion from the supplementary budget for the initiative.
