    • Abstract:
The article discusses a survey about Writing Program Administration (WPA) work at two-year colleges in the seven regions of the Two-Year College English Association (TYCA). Findings suggested that the number of full-time, tenure-track faculty teaching basic writing, first-year writing, and professional writing is deemed strong unlike the numbers of tenure-track faculty members teaching writing at four-year institutions. It was observed that the range of part-time faculty was wide, reflecting an over-reliance on adjunct faculty. Moreover, the research indicated the lack of pattern of where English tends to be categorized, citing three two-year colleges that grouped disciplines like composition and creative writing as a department while others have journalism, reading, and women's studies.
