The article presents a profile of the career of rock musician Brody Dalle. Dalle's experience as the lead singer for the alternative rock band the Distillers is recounted. The group managed to crack the Modern Rock chart with their major label debut "Drain the Blood" in 2003. Dalle returns to the music scene with a group called Spinerette, whose self-titled debut will be released on June 2, 2009. Dalle explains why she chose to avoid major record labels and her relationship with SRO Management.
