    • Abstract:
An essay is presented on the role of the secular in Abraham Joshua Heschel's theology in the scrutiny of a post-9/11 terrorist attacks reading. It examines the notion of the secular in the writings of Heschel to further understand the role of theology in a desecularized world. It also discusses the concept of authentic thinking as a situational and a product of one's subjective relations. It also presents the book of Heschel such as "Who is Man."
