The article offers information on the symptoms, pathophysiology and treatment of crystalline lens subluxation. Crystalline lens subluxation is common in patients in three distinct situations, patient who has received significant blunt trauma to the eye, patients who have a systemic condition, and patient with a hypermature cataract. Symptoms associated with lens subluxation include visual disturbance from extreme hyperopic or myopic shift, astigmatism or acquired aphakia.
