The article discusses nursing interventions for patients with sexual issues secondary to treatment of anal carcinoma. The case of a 50 year old woman who experienced depression and sexual issues following cancer treatment is presented. The clinical manifestations of anal carcinoma are examined. The effects of multimodality treatment are discussed. Recommendations for enhancing couples' sexual communication are listed.
