The Internet Kill Switch.

The article examines the impact of a bill sponsored by Senator John Rockefeller in the U.S. The bill proposes that the president may declare a cybersecurity emergence and may order the disconnection of any federal government or U.S. critical infrastructure information system. It is noted that the bill gives the president an Internet Kill Switch which is said to be a bad idea. It is also argued that people have to consider what giving the federal government such authority would really imply.
