- Abstract:
In this article the author discusses the campaign to eradicate malaria. The focus of the article is the parlous state of public health in sub-Saharan Africa, a region severely afflicted with the disease. A number of other topics are addressed including the commitment of Bill Gates, a philanthropist, to the campaign to wipe out malaria, money dedicated to the purchase of anti-malarial drugs and the impact of the disease on African children.
