The article focuses on the issues faced by intersex people and those who have sex development disorders. It explores the author's experiences of undergoing reconstructive surgeries which are considered as instructive for teachers who are willing to learn more regarding intersex issue as well as providing students with assistance in understanding the issue. It recommends visiting the Intersex Society of North America (ISNA) Web site for definition of intersex term and its conditions. It also highlights several goals that have been influenced by the intersex rights movement which include the right of recognition, nonintervention, and agency.
