      The article presents information on a study which investigated the relative biological availability of zinc from different inorganic salts supplemented at varied levels and the efficient source of salt, and its level of inclusion in the diet of broiler chicken during early age. A brief overview is given on zinc supplementation in poultry diets. It discusses the possibility of limiting the zinc supplementation below the standard of the poultry industry, resulting in less zinc excretion without any compromise on performance of broiler chicken.
