      The article focuses on the decision of Criterion Collection to release classic motions pictures in Blu-ray Disc format. The author says that the decision generated lots of skepticism because Criterion is known for its DVD of art-house classics by the likes of Bergman, Fellini, Godard and Truffaut. It is noted that the collection was started in 1984. It also explains how the collection transformed the whole concept of home video in two ways.
