- Abstract:
The article discusses research on blindness in horses conducted by researchers at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, England which appeared in the September 2008 issue of "Veterinary Ophthalmology." It notes that the study identified severe sinus infections as a cause of blindness in horses. Under the study, three horses which presented vision problems have been examined. Results show that the swelling in the sinuses had led to a compression in the adjacent optic nerves.
