This article discusses the author's opinion about economists and their inability to make predictions concerning the economy of the United States. The author asserts that given the economic downturn, economists are more unsure than ever and their advice is essentially useless. Milton Friedman and John Kenneth Galbraith are named as examples of economists who make inaccurate predictions and mask their uncertainty with a confident demeanor.
