      The article presents information on the Great Migration Study Project. The idea for the Great Migration Study Project came to the author in 1976, when he had been working in genealogy for only a few years. The author presented his proposal for the project to the New England Historic Genealogy Society (NEHGS) and started working on the project on November 15, 1988. The author started with the Great Migration Begins series of volumes, which covered immigration to New England from 1620-1633.
