      This article focuses on early treatment of malocclusion. Bottle-feeding or breast-feeding causes underdevelopment of the jaws which leads to malocclusion of the teeth. Altering defects in dental development should be completed at age twelve before permanent teeth are present. Topics include appliances and techniques used to treat malocclusion.
