Food Security: Achieving the Potential.

The article discusses a paper about food security, by Per Pinstrup-Andersen and Anna Herforth published in the September-October 2008 issue of "Environment." The paper described the situation of global food supply and distribution. It cited ways in which governments can address food security problems including rural infrastructure investment to support agricultural growth, and the establishment of local and national markets for food and agricultural products. It also highlighted the principles to govern food security efforts.
