    • Abstract:
The article presents a systematic review and meta-analysis which examined the accuracy of computed tomography angiography (CTA) compared with intra-arterial digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for diagnosing peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The MEDLINE database, the EMBASE database, and Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness were searched for studies comparing CTA with intra-arterial DSA. Researchers found that computed tomography angiography is an accurate modality to assess PAD and the extent of PAD in patients with intermittent claudications. They note that definitive conclusions are prevented by the methodological weaknesses of the studies.
