    • Abstract:
The author reflects on ABC Network's hosting of the debate between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. He criticized ABC's host Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos for spending the first 45 minutes of the debate shamefully wallowing in trivial muck, insulting the candidates, and the audience, which deserved to have questions asked about substantive issues. He notes that the show is the most embarrassing performance by the media in a major presidential debate in years.
