The article focuses on naturalist and author Charles Darwin. Particular attention is given to the enduring relevancy of his theories in science and scientific thought, and to scientists working to expand upon evolution by natural selection. The article discusses Darwin's research and his book "On the Origin of Species." A brief biographical account of Darwin's life is presented.
