      The article deals with the decision of Transport Canada to extend the deadline for aircraft owners' compliance with the 406 MHz emergency locator transmitters (ELT). The ELT is rejected by the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association and other organizations. Compliance with the rule was scheduled to go into effect on February 1, 2009.
