- Abstract:
The article offers insights for associations and companies on how to make business alliances work. According to the author, alliances most frequently fail not because of poor strategy and development or business mismanagement, but because partner firms are not able to work together effectively and are therefore, not able to accomplish their joint goals. It cites that crucial to alliance success is the ability to establish and sustain internal alignment about issues such as whether to partner, with whom to partner and the purpose and goals of partnering.
