The article presents the authors' view about the computer talent migration from banking and finance to the computer science after the financial crisis in the U.S. They state that after the dot-com rupture, computer science enrollments started to decline and the number of bachelor's degree in computer courses reached a low of 8,021 in 2007, a drop from 14,185 in the 2003-2004 academic year. They pointed out that the collapse of the credit industry help make information technology careers more attractive.
