      The author reflects on how the information technology (IT) sector can change its image and interest young Americans in IT careers. He argues that the best time for getting children interested in technology careers is between the fourth and seventh grades. He believes that children can be reached by finding the best elementary school science and math teachers who can have an unsounded impact on the future career aspirations of children.
