- Abstract:
The article focuses on the movement of Catholic theater that started in the end of the 19th century and continued after World War I in Europe and Canada. According to the article, this movement, aiming to promote Christian values and show Catholic plays, had a significant importance in France in the 1920s and 1930s. The author mentions the theatrical company of author Henri Ghéon, who became a fervent defender of Catholicism after the war, and promoted Christian art. The author states that this religious movement had an international success.
