      The article reports on recent hurricanes. Residents of islands in the Caribbean Sea and of states along the U.S. Gulf Coast are working to put their lives back together. Hurricanes hit those regions recently. The last of those powerful storms, Hurricane Ike, was the most destructive. It caused major damage to the coasts of Texas and Louisiana. Texas got the worst of the storm in the U.S. Ike caused at least 27 deaths there and left more than five million people without electrical power for weeks.
