- Abstract:
The article offers information on a teaching strategy designed to engage many of the difficult moral, legal, political, military, and historical issues represented in the My Lai incident. With these lessons, students will be introduced to the basics of military law. Students will also be engaged in examining the brief conducted by Captain Ernest L. Medina prior to the operation and the orders he gave to Lieutenant William L. Calley Jr. Moreover, the students should be required to address whether or not American military leaders conspired to cover up the event, and the responsible for the incidence.
