    • Abstract:
Presents a study which shows that a single amino-acid change in the neck of the kinesin-related Ncd motor causes it to reverse directions and move with wild-type velocities towards the plus or minus end. Usual direction of Ncd, which is toward the minus end; Conclusion that the directional bias of the working stroke is dependent on neck/motor core interactions, the absence of which removes directional constraints.
