    • Abstract:
This article reports on global water scarcity and diminishing water supplies related to climate change and industrial pollution. Industry waste includes heavy metals and solvents that produce non-biodegradable water pollutants. This article explores political changes and technological innovations to address water scarcity. Desalination technology has become a standard technology for drinking water in urban areas but remains uneconomical for agricultural use. Political solutions involve inter-agency coordination to effectively manage water supplies. Other topics include dams, safe drinking water, food growing, and irrigation projects.
