- Abstract:
The article discusses the best way of storing wet distillers grains, the ethanol byproduct, during harvesting. According to Dave Schingoethe, a South Dakota State University dairy scientist, mixing of wet distillers grains and corn silage may be the best way for some dairy producers to handle the grains. Moreover, he states that for producers who cannot feed dairy herds fast, blending wet distillers grains with corn silage prevents spoilage and simplifies daily ration mixing.
