    • Abstract:
The article describes two fine linen tunics from the Fifth Dynasty site of Deshasheh kept in the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, University College London in London, England. One of the linen dresses has been wrapped by the museum in a sheet of newsprint from "The Athenaeum" dated December 26, 1898 and was labelled Galabiyeh. V dyn. Deshasheh while the other, UC 31183 was found amongst the linen fragments. The garments are discovered directly on top of the female burial lying in its solid-block wooden coffin. An extraordinary feature of the garments is their length and narrow width which indicate that the dresses were intended as grave-goods.
