Reportamos la preparación de compuestos con estequiometría Ba2LaZrO5,5. El complejo precursor se preparó mediante la adición de cantidades estequiométricas de nitratos de lantano y bario, oxicloruro de zirconio y ácido cítrico como complejante. El ordenamiento estructural se analizó a través de difracción de rayos X, determinándose que los cationes de La y Zr se presentan ordenados en planos, alternándose en las tres direcciones del espacio, en forma similar a como se ordenan los iones en la estructura cristalina de NaCl. Se presentan resultados del efecto de los parámetros de preparación sobre las propiedades cristalográficas y morfológicas de las perovskitas sintetizadas. Finalmente, presentamos un estudio de la morfología de las muestras por medio de microscopia electrónica de barrido. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
- Abstract:
Stoichiometric compounds of Ba2LaZrO5,5 by the citrate method were prepared. Complex precursors were prepared by adding stoichiometric amounts of lanthanum nitrate, barium nitrate, zirconium oxichloride and citric acid as complexing agent. It was found by means the x ray diffraction technique that this material crystallize in a structural arrangement, where La and Zr cations are ordered in planes, alternated in tree space directions like ions are ordered in the NaCl superstructure. Results of effect of preparation parameters on crystallographic and morphological properties of synthesized perovskites are presented. At last, studies of morphology of perovskites by scanning electronic microscopy are presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
