      Chapter III of Book I of "The History of the Peloponnesian War," by Thucydides is presented. It deals with the history of the Peloponnesian War in Ancient Greece, fought between the Peloponnesian League, which was led by Sparta, and Athens-led Delian League. Moreover, it provides a brief review of early Greek history and some programmatic historiographical commentary regarding the war. It provides information on the congress of the Peloponnesian confederacy.
