    • Abstract:
Chapter I of the book "The History of England," Volume I, by David Hume is presented. It explores the tales pertaining to the more early history of Great Britain particularly the state of the inhabitants as it appeared to the Roman on their intrusion of the country. It highlights the events which attended the subjugation caused by that empire, as belonging more to Roman than British story. It examines the vague and uninteresting periods of Saxon annals.
