It explores the restructuring of debt and its assault on Third World countries by changing the rules of banking, making it difficult or impossible to pay off their debts to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF). It highlights the link between inequality and global power and the triumph of the ultra-conservatives and their free-market, no-nonsense approach to the poor in their own countries.
