      The article presents U.S. astronomical data and almanack daybook for September and October 2008. The autumn equinox will occur at 10:44 a.m. on September 22, 2008 and after several days, the night will be 12 hours long with sunrise taking place between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. and sunset between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. On September 1, 2008, the waxing moon will favor seeding of winter grains in the southern and central states.
