    • Abstract:
The fifth annual Fall for Dance festival, which will run from Sept. 17 to 27 at City Center in Manhattan, has announced its schedule. The festival, which will focus on young choreographers on the rise, will feature dance companies and choreographers from around the world, including Argentina, China, France, India, Israel, Spain and Thailand, and a range of dance styles and traditions, from hula and tap to classical ballet and modern. Beijing Dance/LDTX and the Suzanne Farrell Ballet are among the companies making their New York debuts. Ayodele Casel & Sarah Savelli, Keigwin & Company, the Lombard Twins, Crystal Pite and Hofesh Shechter are among the other choreographers and companies included in the program. Several American companies -- Garth Fagan Dance, Houston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Shen Wei Dance Arts -- will also perform along with New York stalwarts like American Ballet Theater. Christopher Wheeldon's company, Morphoses, will perform for a second year in a row. Tickets are $10 for all seats. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
