The article reports that a research from The Leading Question has revealed that the number of music fans in Great Britain who regularly buy music downloads has declined from 16 percent in 2006 to 14 percent at the end of year 2007. The decline signals the rise in illegal music downloading. The study has highlighted the fact that the business models of the music industry are failing to prevent the decline in music sales, according to digital music agency, Music Ally, which commissioned the study. The study has also found that 22 percent of music fans have shared files illegally.
