    • Abstract:
This article argues that the techniques passed by Russian film directors in 1919 on every film without exception is effective until 1971. A thorough observation reveals not a single picture, not a single experiment directed, as they should be, towards the emancipation of the film-camera, which remains enslaved, subordinated to the imperfect, undiscerning human eye. The article also sympathises with the use of the cinema for all branches of science, but defines these functions of the cinema as side-line diverging from the main line.
