Information on the highlights of the 2008 American College of Cardiology 57th Annual Scientific Session in Chicago, Illinois is presented. Topics discussed include the home use of the automated external defibrillation (AED), the risks brought by flu to heart failure patients, and the link between the "anniversary effect" and sudden death.
