An interview with Ralph A. Wolff, president and executive director of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, is presented. When asked about the factors that led to the accreditation of his work, Wolff refers to his work at the WASC Senior College Commission. He emphasizes that WASC has operated under a handbook that had nine standards and 268 subcomponents. He adds that the changes in student population has presented major challenges to the effectiveness of accreditation.
