      The article presents information on grassroot activism in the U.S. It states that when Harvard employees rallied for a $10.25-an-hour minimum wage in early May, backers packed the Yard. The Progressive Student Labor Movement's Living Wage Campaign did a fine job of publicizing the rally. The appearance of actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon helped to draw a crowd. Voters of Amarillo, Texas, made history on May 6 by electing James Allen, an African-American and Rita Sandoval, a Latina. The election proved that the cumulative voting system works.
