      The article presents the author's comments about the need for science and technology teachers in the U.S. The author says that a young science teacher has the ability to encourage hundreds of young people to pursue careers in science or technology over the course of his career. According to the author, lot of new teachers are needed because most of the 3.2 million teachers in the country will retire or leave the profession within 10 years.
