- Abstract:
  Chapter Five of the book "The Pirate," by Captain Frederick Marryat is presented. It describes the feeling of Mr. Witherington, a ship passenger, concerning the news about the rescue of the two negroes and a baby girl from the wreck of the Circassian, a passenger ship. It also reveals the decision of the cook and the housemaid to resign from their positions after knowing that they will sleep together with the two negroes, as commanded by Mr. Witherington.
