      The article discusses the issue on pregnancy discrimination cases in the U.S. Civil rights attorney Caryn Groedel has won a $2.1 million verdict for a woman hoped to raise a family while pursuing a retail management career. Groedel's Mayfield Heights firm handles 40 cases wherein five of which involved pregnancy discrimination. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) states that pregnancy discrimination rates have increased 45% since 1992.
