The article presents information on Blarney Stone, a world-famous stone in the Irish village of Blarney in County Cork. Everyday more than 1,000 people visit for the chance to kiss the stone. The stone was built right into the walls of Blarney Castle in the 15th century by Cormac Macarthy, an Irish warriors. Because of its location, tourists are forced to assume an awkward position, hanging upside down, to reach it. The stone is said to grant the power to persuade with the gift of gab.
