    • Abstract:
The article considers the constitutionality of the three-drug protocol for convicted criminals who are sentenced with capital punishment in Kentucky. In a case before the U.S. Supreme Court, the lethal injection procedure followed in Kentucky is considered within the parameters of the prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment stipulated by the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The oral arguments for and against the Kentucky protocol are reviewed.
