      The article cites a study which suggests that a method involving infrared measurement of skin temperature can help determine the maximum safe radiant exposure for people about to undergo laser hair removal. The proponents of the study employed pulsed photothermal radiometry to measure skin temperatures in 13 volunteers. The study showed that the method accurately predicts maximum safe radiant exposure across a broad range of human skin prototypes.
