      The article reports that WCBS New York has upgraded the look of its high-definition newscast by investing in Sony XDCAM HD camcorders and server-based production system from BitCentral company. The move will allow the newscasts to immediately offer widescreen images from the field and support full high-definition newsgathering. Accordingly, it points out that WCBS editors will pull video from the server of BitCentral and edit with Edius software from Thomsom company.
