    • Abstract:
This article reports that California Republicans and Democrats will not only nominate their party's presidential candidate, but would also vote on Proposition 93, which would decide how long their state legislators can stay in office, on February 5, 2008. One of the reasons for the early presidential primary, according to Robert Stern of the Center for Governmental Studies, is to give time to legislators to decide if they will be running before the June 2008 primary.
