    • Abstract:
The author comments on an ordinance passed in a town in Louisiana which banned sagging pants. He recalls a time in his childhood when he got beaten by his grandmother for sagging pants. He asserts that the ordinance would give the police free rein to search whomever they choose, with no probable cause. He adds that such form of censorship must be in violation of the First Amendment rights.
